ITUM Final-Year Project Team Earns Recognition at ICIET 2025

A final-year project team from the Information Technology Division, Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa, proudly represented ITUM at the International Conference on Innovations in Engineering & Technology (ICIET 2025) held on 27th November 2025.

Their research project, “Wee Saviya: A Digital Platform for Enhancing Paddy Management in Sri Lanka,” won 3rd place in the Poster Presentation category, recognizing the team’s innovation, research contribution, and practical value to the agricultural sector.

Wee Saviya introduces a centralized digital platform connecting farmers, mill operators, and the Paddy Marketing Board to enhance transparency, coordination, and real-time decision-making in the paddy supply chain. Through field studies with PMB officers, millers, and farmers, the team identified key gaps and developed a user-centered solution to address them.
