On August 28, 2024, a mini art gallery was officially opened in the Division of Interdisciplinary Studies showcasing the artistic talents of semester two students from the 2021/2022 and 2022/2023 batches. This curated collection features a diverse range of paintings, sculptures and other art forms created by semester one students.
The concept was developed by Visual Art Instructor Ms. N.A.N. Lakshani Jayathilake and brought to life under the guidance of Dr. (Mrs.) D.D.G.A.D.S. Saparamadu, Head of the Division, alongside Mrs. Lakni Kumarasiri, Lecturer-in-Charge of the Aesthetic Studies module.
This exhibition serves as a testament to the dedication and creativity of our students, highlighting their vibrant artistic spirit. The opening ceremony was attended by the Director of ITUM, Heads of Divisions, and both academic and administrative staff members. During the event, the Director, while appreciating the commitment of the staff, emphasized the crucial role of the arts in promoting a well-rounded education.
