Hindu Religious Observances – ITUM 25th Anniversary

As part of the 25th Anniversary celebrations of the Institute of Technology, University of Moratuwa (ITUM), the ITUM Welfare Society organized a series of multi-religious activities under the guidance of the Director of ITUM, Rtd. Major General S. K. Thirunavukarusu.

In line with these efforts, a Hindu religious observance was conducted on 31st December 2025 at the Sri Murugan Temple, Panadura, bringing together members of the ITUM community in a spiritually enriching experience. The event was attended by more than 50 staff members, reflecting the unity and inclusiveness fostered within the institution.

During the ceremony, participants engaged in a special Pooja conducted by the Chief Priest of the temple. The rituals were performed with great devotion, invoking blessings for the continued success, harmony, and prosperity of ITUM, its staff, and students.

This meaningful initiative further strengthened the spirit of cultural diversity and mutual respect within the ITUM community, while commemorating a significant milestone in the institution’s journey.
