Seamanship Laboratory

“Seamanship” means the knowledge involved in handling and storing ropes, tying knots and performing practical tasks such as mooring and anchoring. Seamanship Lab is equipped with various models of Derricks, Blocks, Tackles and Purchases, INTERCO Flags, Cargo lashing Equipment, Ropes, Shackles, Anchor and Cable and Other Seamanship Equipment. Assures practical and hands on skill about parts of ships and structural element, ropes and rope works, loading-discharging equipment including planned maintenance on ship. Seamanship Lab is a specialized lab to enable the trainees to recognize the different parts of the vessel as well as the equipment used on ships and rigging gear.
