The marine engineering laboratory houses a diesel engine test-bed. It is arranged with an overhead crane to facilitate to hoist machinery and equipment during practical sessions. Students are enjoying a live environment of a ship seeing actual size of machinery and equipment. About fifteen number of practical are conducted giving facility to understand the construction, operation, troubleshooting and repairing of the marine machinery including auxiliary engines, generators, centrifugal separators, fuel injectors, fuel pumps, starting air valves, various valves, pumps, compressors, heat exchangers etc. Practical are conducted on modules, Engineering Knowledge (motor and general) and Naval Architecture. Workshop with lathe machines are integrated to use with repairing purposes.
